He, of the long-winded and over explained,
Detailed recollection and telling of stories,
Of the explicit explanation of events and feelings,
Who loves the edges and the water there,
Finding solace at the exterior and making everything external;

And me, of the short answers and simple explanations,
Of the non-sharing for lack of seeing the reason to share,
Who need be pressed,
Who can’t always recall when called upon,
Who approves the internal with rivers and mountains,
Going in and ever-more inward;

Maybe we prove that you aren’t what you eat
But you are what you feed your soul.
