On a warm summer’s eve,
The leaves slowly sway in the heated breeze.
The ending of the sunlight creates
Pockets of earthly yellow
Among the layers of green.
Nothing seems like a shadow,
But different shades enjoying the end of a day,
Soaking in their moments time by time,
Sunset warming their places home by home.

We dance in the summer eve,
Meandering the lawn as the moments go.
Birds sing and send us skyward,
Lifted by the weightlessness of their song.
Stepping with the breeze,
Keeping time with the endless now.

We dance to the song of resounding silence.
Moving to the rhythm within the quiet.
